critical thinking + creative thinking = problem solved

Corinne Coleman

Corinne Coleman has vast experience working in the public sector and with nonprofit agencies. After completing graduate studies in Mass Communication, Corinne worked for the Gulf Coast Community College GED program implementing grant programs, facilitating training, and handling marketing. She left the college to accept the Executive Director position at Habitat for Humanity of Bay County where she helped to grow the local affiliate by increasing the number of houses constructed per year from two to ten, opening the Habitat Home Store, raising the organization’s visibility in the community, and increasing the overall funding base.

Corinne left the Habitat position to work as a freelance liaison to the local Homeless and Hunger Coalition, coordinating grant efforts and media outreach. Before launching Problem Solved, she did a stint for AT&T/TCI creating a digital library and database with proprietary protocols and protections.

Corey moonlights as a choreographer for local theatre groups. (She’s the one who can dance.)

Karen Kirchler

Karen Kirchler has years of experience in both the private and public sector, so she’s sensitive to the different nuances that shape nonprofits and the corporate world. After years of working with the Association for Retarded Citizens and Father Flanagan’s Boys Town, Karen transitioned to freelance work developing training and employee manuals for GTE Mobilnet and Price Waterhouse and providing marketing, writing, and graphics services to a variety of clients through the Tampa Bay area. Karen brought her experience back to her hometown in 1997 when she began working at Gulf Coast Community College.

Her work at the college helped her hone her writing skills and gave her extensive experience with grants, strategic planning, research, and training. Her educational background includes a M.S. in Communication and additional course work in Public Administration.

She also happens to be the juggler, but she has yet to master the unicycle.
